Just a reminder, In order to race with the MCRA I-70 Challenge Seires, you MUST be a MCRA MEMBER. http://midwestcaferacing.com/products/mcra-membership/

This Membership is also a way to make sure you have a say on what happens with MCRA and its track day, and Races. Please clink the link above if you are racing and have not paid your Membership for the 2012 season.

Also if you have purchased a membership and have not recived your card please let me know ASAP, I will get one out to you, or have one waiting at the track

Tommy, just to clarify, when I complete the race clinic at either Putnam, or the first round that takes place at Gateway, and purchase my license, will I have to pay a separate fee for MCRA membership? Or will it be included with the purchase of the race license?

Thanks in advance, for the answer.

It's 25 for each one, or you can buy your license for 50 and it will include the membership :). You get one by weekend for racing after completing the race clinic where you don't have to pay for it. After that it I required.

For those applying for a Race License, when you Receive your membership card/race license, there will be a big RED stamp on the back, you cant miss it. IF you receive a card WITHOUT that stamp, and paid for your license, PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR LAST RACE LICENSE, OR CERTIFACTE OF YOUR COMPLETED RACE CLINIC TO THE TRACK AND WE WILL GET THAT TAKEN CARE OF FOR YOU. See Registration track side for assistance.

Thanks

I have a problem. I would love to participate in the upcoming race in Sept at HPT but will be unable to make it to the track Saturday for the race clinic. I will be there all day Sunday and really want to participate in the race. (GTL am) I am fine with paying for the clinic, membership, fees, ect, I am just hoping someone can accommodate/approve me to race on Sunday.

If you haven't taken an approved race clinic or school within the specified time period that makes you eligible for a license or have held a license within the specified period of time nobody will approve you to race on Sunday. There are other clinics and schools you can take that we accept. If you can find one before the date and prove that you have successfully completed that school/clinic you will be good to go to purchase a license and race with us. If you find one just make sure you send an email to info@midwestcaferacing.com to make sure it would be acceptable before you take the school or clinic. The specified periods of time I mention are described in our rule book (section 2.2):

I am aware you need the race clinic or license, I suppose wishful thinking was to be able to perform the MCRA race clinic Sunday morning instead of Saturday to allow me to enter the afternoon race.

Our race clinic is only on Saturdays. As suggested, you can take another acceptable licensing clinic and use that certificate to purchase your race license.
Look at section 2.2 of the rule book for more info:

See you in a few weeks!

OK, a miracle happened and I got things moved around to attend the race clinic Saturday and signed up for GTL. What am I to expect from the clinic?

I sure hope some more riders sign up for the Saturday GTL race.
