Hey Guys,

New to the site and the sport.

I'm and old Motocross guy. Raced for 26+ years and still ride as much as I can.

Looking for something new as the body had seen better days.

Recently purchased a 15 FZ09 because it was ergonomically much more what I was used to.

Really interested in doing some track days at some point.

I live in Western KY. What tracks are around? I'm used to 2, 3 and 4 hours hauls from MX.

Thanks,

Jody Howell

We're going to be at NCM (National Corvette Museum) Motorsports Park next month (Oct 15-16). That's in Bowling Green, KY. You can sign up here:

Have you ever done a track day before?

No I'm as green as they come.

But I've been having a blast on the road and the racer in me needs an outlet.

I'm due to go in for some surgical work on my neck pretty soon so I probably wont be doing any this year but I have been trying to educate myself and the more I see the more fun it looks.

Might see you guys in the spring.

If it's your first track day you can get your first day for half price. ;)

Well I just got a reprieve with my neck surgery. Pushed off to the 24th.

So maybe NCM Track Day after all.

What safety equipment is required? Obviously I have the typical helmet, jacket, gloves and boots.

I know they are def preferred but are full leathers a must?

Tape up all the glass and make sure everything is in good order on the bike and no leaks. Anything else?

Thanks Guys,
